Buttonwood Zoo Overnight program for Brownies on May 15-16

Things that Go Bump in the Night program at the Buttonwood Park zoo in New Bedford for Brownies on Saturday, May 15 at 6 p.m. until Sunday, May 16 at 9 a.m. Sponsored by Girl scouts of Central & Western Massachusetts Council, Juliette Scouts in grades 2 & 3 may also register. Troops and individual Scouts may register. Each Troop must provide a trained over night leader and a first aider. Each Troop must also provide 1 adult for every 5 Scouts. Individual Scout may registers but must attend with a legal guardian.
PROGRAM: Have you ever wondered just what exactly those things that go bump in the night are? Learn about unique creatures of the night and the spectacular ways they are adapted for life under the cover of darkness. While learning about nocturnal animal adaptations, participants will explore their own sensory abilities and even dissect an owl pellet! Girls will meet the requirements for their Animals and Senses Try-Its (not included) at this awesome Flashlight Adventure! Participation patch provided which allows free zoo admission through 2011.

Registration cost is $55 per person, including Scouts & adults.
Registration deadline is April 16 or when 60 people have registered.
