At the National Council Session last fall, the Girl Scout delegation approved a change in GSUSA's annual membership fee, to $12, starting in the 2009-2010 membership year.
Membership renewals this spring and in the fall will be at the new rate not at $10.
GSUSA says the last increase was in Oct 2003, and over the last 40 years, there have been increases approximately every 6 years.
The entire membership fee goes to GSUSA in New York, to help them pay for program and resource development, research and outreach initiatives, technology and insurance for members.
